The Shepherd

Rev 1: 17b-18
Psalm 23
A Psalm of David.
23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell[
a] in the house of the Lord
Forever.
God chose His children, the believers, even before the world was created. Not that we have chosen Him, but that He has chosen first (John 15: 16). When Jesus the “Shepherd” has chosen us as His “sheep”, He will never take His eyes off us, He will always be with us whatever happens to us, He always there for us. Whatever happens His presence is real because He has died on the cross for us

When we come to Him, He will always give us rest. He will let His children enter His rest, because He really cares of us. Not only that He will let us enter His rest, He will also guide us His children to do great things for Him and with Him. Everything that we do according to the truth will never become in vain in His eyes. He will always open His hands for us and His forgiveness is always available for us. Everything happens because of His grace for us.

Whatever problem we face, we shall have no fear, because He is there with us. All we need to do is walk with Him and let Him guide us. In His anointing, we shall lack nothing. His anointing will form  His character in us.
